Thousands marched against COVID-19 restrictions in Hamburg on Saturday whilst dozens of left-wing activists staged a counter-protest. Demonstrators marched around the city's Binnenalster lake holding signs and banners, with police officers escorting the rally. According to local police, around 8,000 participated in the demonstration against COVID-19 restrictions and mandatory vaccinations. Similar protests were held in several other cities on Saturday.
